Daily Vitamin H
Life isn’t good it’s wonderful. And so much more when the sun is shining. We get that boost from the sun rays and it takes us to a reality of pure bliss and completion. Our brains are wired to feel that happy energy we feel when we see sun shine and varying sounds of nature. When you see the beautiful blue sky, shimmering sun and green grass, while listening to the birds sing and the bees buzz your more likely to feel happier. Sometimes you may even feel like cracking open a stella and orange juice. Just saying!! That’s my go to on a beautiful warm day. I sit and wait for the clock to strike 5:00pm. And right now, as I write this it’s only noon. Yup, Five hours to go! Damn it, the orange juice for now will have to do.
I mean sure there’s only so many warm beautiful days out so a persons gotta ask, If a gloomy day is affecting you by draining that Vitamin H(What I call Happy) what is a person to do to lift thy spirits up and feel happier”. Which is why I thought to share my list of go tos when I’m feeling gloomy. I have even added it to my daily regime. I’m certain if you follow my remedy you are sure to feel a lot less gloomy when the day looks grey or if you are feeling off.
Upon waking up, start by looking up at your ceiling or at a desired wall where you will place a picture or painting of a positive affirmation. One that can relate to you. Mine reads, “Success is not the key to happiness, Happiness is the key to Success. If you love what you are doing, you will be Successful.” You could have your child or friend paint you a special one. This way it’ll give you that extra umph of positivity. Next, after a shower or just before, you choose, breath deeply in and out 10 times and follow through with 10 sun salutations (you can watch “how to” on my instagram posted in IGTV). Then, follow through with getting ready for the day. If you prefer to just meditate then listen to the CALM app and choose which meditation meets your needs. This App is my go to and I love the fact that it’s there for me to use at anytime of day whenever I need it. As you gather all your stuff to head out the door perhaps kids included, as you do your drop off, turn on some new age spa music from Amazon Alexa Music. If you rather your own music I’d suggest listening to an upbeat dance selection. Choose something you know you enjoy dancing to when at home or at a dance pub/bar. This is sure to get you in a happy mood before work or errands. At the end of the day, try writing in a gratitude journal. Create one of your own or purchase one from Amazon.ca. I’ve posted a pic of mine. You don’t have to write in it daily but it’s a nice way to complete your day. These are some steps that can help create your daily happy or just to use on that gloomy day and will take up 15 minutes of your day. You won’t be disappointed. Too, it'll become a positive habit that will create happy. Okay beautiful people, get on it and enjoy.
